If so, you may be the ideal candidate for the Head Copywriter position on the Incubator Team, working to help develop and expand two recently launched sub-affiliates (Empire Financial Research and Altimetry). 

     

    This Head Copywriting role will be intense – you’ll try new things, learn from best practices, hire talented employees and have to be a “utility player” during the earliest stages of a business’ development to ensure a smooth growth from startup to stable business.

     

    In particular, you will need to turn promos around quickly.  You will also be asked to write things that you may not have written before or you don’t necessarily have the training for but will need to figure out anyway to move the new business forward.  You’ll be more involved with the day to day marketing activities to ensure your copy is distributed as broadly as possible.

     

    Make no mistake, our goals are aggressive. 

     

    However. the ideal candidate will be based in Baltimore and while this is a startup role which requires wearing many hats, the goal is that this role will be a springboard to a Copy Chief role. We are seeking a hardworking, versatile and particularly entrepreneurial team player.

    Responsibilities

    • Build foundational copy packages for new businesses
    • Adapt to constant changes with agility
    • Manage multiple projects and a variety of copy assets
    • Create and manage static website content
    • Lead the effort on frontend promos including lead gen campaigns, $5 offers leading into various funnel offers and traditional frontend promos
    • Effectively manage backend promos
    • Produce and execute webinars
    • Launch packages for future products
    • Create all funnel copy including upsells and cross sells
    • Produce and launch email confirmations
    • Create and manage onboarding material including new customer gauntlets
    • Create lift notes for external copy
    • Develop editorial sales bullets, etc.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years of copywriting experience is required along with a track record of success and top tier performance in the financial copy space
    • Must have a creative mindset and a commitment to thinking in new and different ways
    • Must have reputation for getting things done efficiently and known for developing ideas with big potential
    • Have an entrepreneurial spirt and able to work under little supervision
    • Exceptional writing skills
    • Sales oriented, ability to tap into what sells to our customer base and focused on generating original content
    • Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects at one time
    • Deadline driven and able to work under pressure
    • Strong interest in the news, politics and global affairs
