Do you have a passion for back-end Java development and web development? Are you comfortable working in a diverse tech stack? Do you like the idea of working in a collaborative IT department in support of fast-paced, growing businesses? If so, let us know! We want to hear from you.

    About the Role:

The Beacon Street Services development team builds cloud software systems that support our affiliates’ web and webinar marketing platform. We respond quickly to business needs, providing a fast, agile development pipeline to our affiliate companies. We’re writing serverless Java microservice code to integrate with a Snowflake database and the Salesforce platform through APIs. We constantly evolve our agile process and our CI/CD capabilities, with blue-green deployments several times a week.

We are seeking a sharp Full Stack Cloud Developer who knows Java, SQL, and Angular. You have strong core skills in back-end development, are comfortable with web development, and have developed within a microservices or service-oriented architecture. We’ll teach you the rest, but the more you can bring to the table, the better. Our team works hard, works smart, and works together. As a member of our team, you will own software development from design to deployment.

    Our tech stack includes:

    • Java microservices
    • Node and Angular
    • AWS Cloud, including Lambdas (serverless code), step functions, SQS, S3 and EC2, and CloudFront
    • Salesforce (Classic, Lightning, Marketing Cloud), Heroku, Zuora
    • Snowflake and AWS Aurora databases

    • Work with other software engineers and product owners to design, develop and enhance, test, and deploy scalable and robust microservices, APIs, and web components that interact with our marketing platform in Salesforce
    • Work with cross-functional teams to improve existing software processes, through sprint retrospectives and the continued evolution of our CI/CD pipeline
    • Understand business requirements and translate them to small pieces of a microservice architecture
    • Communicate with team members about status, blockers, hand-offs, and ideas
    • Have a strong opinion about who cooks the best Biriyani

    • 5+ years of professional experience developing software in Java and Spring
    • 3+ years of professional experience developing software in Node and Angular
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar field is desired but not required; you should understand data structures and algorithms
    • Experience with AWS Cloud and its tools
    • Experience with Salesforce
    • Strong ability with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Practical understanding of object-oriented design, cloud architecture, and design patterns
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices and agile development
    • Experience evangelizing ideas with other members of your team
    • Desire to write clean, beautiful code, including unit tests
    • Passion for learning and adopting new technology
    • Obsession with customer service and delivering business value
